LADY JUSTICE CAROLINE KENDAGOR is a co-founder of the Iriip Gaa Professional Ladies, made history in 2024 when she was appointed as a Judge of the High Court of Kenya, becoming the first High Court Judge from her village in Sangurur, Elgeyo Marakwet County, and the first from the Marakwet community, a marginalized subgroup within the Kalenjin. Her appointment stands as a powerful testament to her resilience, dedication, and unwavering commitment to public service, breaking barriers and inspiring future generations. Before her elevation to the High Court, Justice Kendagor built an impressive career in the judiciary, starting as a District Magistrate II in 2010 and steadily rising through the ranks to become a Senior Principal Magistrate. She also served as an Acting Registrar in Charge of Mediation, where she championed Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), enhancing judicial efficiency and expanding access to justice for countless Kenyans. Beyond the bench, Justice Kendagor is an active member of the Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association (KMJA), where she once served as Vice President, advocating for judicial welfare and professionalism. She is also a member of the International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ), collaborating with jurists worldwide to uphold judicial integrity, gender equality, and the rule of law. Ndorobo Ng’ania (born Rachel Ng’ania) is the Founder of Iriip Gaa Group of Professional Ladies. She is a dynamic Public Relations and Administration Professional renowned for her expertise in building strong relationships, enhancing brand reputation, and optimizing administrative operations. She has a sharp ability to craft impactful PR campaigns and manage high-profile events. As a skilled communicator, she excels in fostering connections with media, clients, and internal teams, ensuring strategic alignment and stakeholder engagement. Beyond her corporate achievements, Ndorobo is deeply passionate about social justice and community development, particularly in uplifting marginalized groups, including her own. This commitment led her to co-found Iriip Gaa Group of Professional Ladies, a group of professional women from the Rift Valley dedicated to celebrating trailblazing women who have overcome challenges to become influential figures in their fields, while empowering the girl child through mentorship, confidence-building, and guidance to help young girls realize their potential and grow into women of positive influence. She is a passionate advocate for women's and girls' rights, particularly in fighting harmful practices like female genital mutilation (FGM), preventing early/forced marriages and pregnancies, Gender Based Violence (GBV) and promoting girls' education. Academically, Ndorobo holds a BSc in Public Relations and Diploma in Information Studies and possesses certifications as a Public Mediator and Trained Mentor, with additional qualifications in Strategic Leadership from the Kenya School of Government, Women in Leadership from Kenya Institute of Management and Education Leadership training from Tampere University of Applied Sciences in Finland. Munira Karoney is the treasurer and custodian of members’ contributions in Iriip Gaa. She is an accomplished accountant and pension scheme trustee with strong expertise in financial management, governance and responsible stewardship. She applies her skills to support sustainable pension outcomes and ensure disciplined, compliant decision-making through transparency and accountability. Passionate about mentorship and the empowerment of women and girls, Munira believes leadership is about serving others,growing future leaders, building capability and creating meaningful opportunities that make a difference in the lives of people and communities. Known for her integrity, professionalism and people-centered approach, she uses her influence to create positive, measurable impact.

Dr. Cathryne Cherop is a scholar, educator, researcher and gender advocate committed to advancing women’s empowerment, education and community development. She is a Lecturer of Literature at Tharaka University, Kenya and a former Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), South Africa. She holds a PhD and Master’s degree in Literature from The University of KwaZulu-Natal and a Bachelor of Education degree in English and Literature from Moi University. Her research interests include African literature, gender studies, feminist criticism, environmental humanities and literary theory. Her scholarship particularly explores representations of women and girls in African literature, with attention to gender, resilience, marginalisation and women’s agency. Beyond academia, Dr. Cherop is passionate about translating knowledge into meaningful social impact through mentorship, advocacy and community engagement. Through Iriip Gaa, she is committed to strengthening sisterhood, amplifying women’s voices and creating spaces where women can connect, support one another and grow into leadership. She believes in the transformative power of educated, empowered and connected women to positively influence families, communities and society.

Ms. Nora Cheserem is a seasoned financial services professional with over 20 years of experience in the Australian financial services sector. She is a goal-oriented and strategic leader. Currently leads the AgriBiz start-up unit of Sian Group, with a focus on fresh avocado production for export and an avocado seedlings nursery. She also serves as Acting Chair of Seko Senior School and remains actively engaged in community Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in Uasin Gishu County, Kenya. Also, she is a committed member of the Iriip Gaa Movement, reflecting her continued commitment to community engagement, development, and collective progress.
