Founding Members:
Two visionary village girls who witnessed brilliant girls disappear into early marriages while boys went to school and saw mothers work tirelessly yet never share equal voice at home, refused to accept that “this is just how things are and chose to create ladders where there had only been walls, celebrate every woman who shattered limitations and to make “village girl" synonymous with “unstoppable force"
The Secretariat:
The Iriip Gaa Secretariat is the coordinating and administrative hub of Iriip Gaa, responsible for translating the organisation’s vision and strategic priorities into meaningful programmes, partnerships, and impact.
The Secretariat provides the day-to-day leadership and operational support required to deliver Iriip Gaa’s mentorship, leadership development, networking, empowerment, and community initiatives.
It coordinates programmes and events, facilitates communication with members and partners, supports the Executive Committee, and ensures that the organisation’s activities are effectively planned, implemented, documented, and followed through.
At the heart of the Secretariat is a commitment to creating opportunities for women to connect, learn, lead, and make a difference. Through strong coordination, strategic partnerships, and responsive engagement with members, the Secretariat helps build a vibrant community of accomplished and aspiring women who support one another and contribute positively to society.
