Founder
Ndorobo Ng’ania (born Rachel Ng’ania) is the Founder of Iriip Gaa Group of Professional Ladies. She is a dynamic Public Relations and Administration Professional renowned for her expertise in building strong relationships, enhancing brand reputation, and optimizing administrative operations. She has a sharp ability to craft impactful PR campaigns and manage high-profile events. As a skilled communicator, she excels in fostering connections with media, clients, and internal teams, ensuring strategic alignment and stakeholder engagement. Beyond her corporate achievements, Ndorobo is deeply passionate about social justice and community development, particularly in uplifting marginalized groups, including her own. This commitment led her to co-found Iriip Gaa Group of Professional Ladies, a group of professional women from the Rift Valley dedicated to celebrating trailblazing women who have overcome challenges to become influential figures in their fields, while empowering the girl child through mentorship, confidence-building, and guidance to help young girls realize their potential and grow into women of positive influence. She is a passionate advocate for women's and girls' rights, particularly in fighting harmful practices like female genital mutilation (FGM), preventing early/forced marriages and pregnancies, Gender Based Violence (GBV) and promoting girls' education. Academically, Ndorobo holds a BSc in Public Relations and Diploma in Information Studies and possesses certifications as a Public Mediator and Trained Mentor, with additional qualifications in Strategic Leadership from the Kenya School of Government, Women in Leadership from Kenya Institute of Management and Education Leadership training from Tampere University of Applied Sciences in Finland. Lady Justice Caroline Jepyegen Kendagor

LADY JUSTICE CAROLINE KENDAGOR is a co-founder of the Iriip Gaa Professional Ladies, made history in 2024 when she was appointed as a Judge of the High Court of Kenya, becoming the first High Court Judge from her village in Sangurur, Elgeyo Marakwet County, and the first from the Marakwet community, a marginalized subgroup within the Kalenjin. Her appointment stands as a powerful testament to her resilience, dedication, and unwavering commitment to public service, breaking barriers and inspiring future generations. Before her elevation to the High Court, Justice Kendagor built an impressive career in the judiciary, starting as a District Magistrate II in 2010 and steadily rising through the ranks to become a Senior Principal Magistrate. She also served as an Acting Registrar in Charge of Mediation, where she championed Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), enhancing judicial efficiency and expanding access to justice for countless Kenyans. Beyond the bench, Justice Kendagor is an active member of the Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association (KMJA), where she once served as Vice President, advocating for judicial welfare and professionalism. She is also a member of the International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ), collaborating with jurists worldwide to uphold judicial integrity, gender equality, and the rule of law. Her remarkable journey—from the humble beginnings of Sangurur village to the High Court bench—epitomizes the transformative power of hard work, perseverance, and visionary leadership. Dr Farida Karoney (PhD), EGH, is a visionary change leader and one of Kenya’s most accomplished transformation champions, celebrated for her exceptional ability to deliver systemic change across public and private sectors in Kenya and beyond. Drawing on decades of experience in governance, institutional reform, and media evolution, she has consistently operated at the intersection of innovation, strategy, and impact at scale. Awarded the Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart (EGH), one of Kenya’s highest civilian honours, the former Cabinet Secretary for Lands and Physical Planning (2018–2022) led one of the most significant land reform processes in Kenya, successfully overseeing the digitization of land records and services for the first time in the nation’s history. Her tenure was a masterclass in bold leadership, leveraging technology to combat corruption, enhance service delivery, and establish a transparent, citizen-eccentric land governance system. As Chief Operating Officer and Editorial Director, at Royal Media Services, she championed progressive advancements and pioneering initiatives that elevated the media house as the country’s leading broadcasting network. Her earlier roles at KTN, Nation Media Group, and Al Jazeera underscore her enduring commitment to independent journalism future-proof media models. Dr. Karoney holds a PhD in Business Administration (Strategy) from the University of Nairobi, MBA in Strategic Management, and, a Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication from the same institution. Her academic foundation was laid at Kenyatta University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education, specializing in Botany and Zoology. Hon. Esther Koimett

Esther Koimett is a distinguished Kenyan public servant and investment banker, widely recognized for her extensive expertise in investment promotion, banking, privatization, public enterprises, and public policy. With a strong academic background, she holds both a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nairobi. Her career reflects a deep commitment to Kenya’s economic development, marked by leadership in key government roles and transformative policy contributions. Throughout her career, Hon. Koimett has held several high-ranking positions in the Kenyan government, demonstrating her versatility and impact across multiple sectors. She served as the Principal Secretary in the State Department of Broadcasting and Telecommunications under the Ministry of ICT, Innovation, and Youth Affairs, a role she assumed in January 2020. Prior to this, she was the Principal Secretary in the State Department for Transport within the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development, and Public Works, a position she held from August 2018. Her earlier roles include Director General of Public Investment and Portfolio Management at the National Treasury and Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Post Office Savings Bank (Postbank), where she played a crucial role in financial sector reforms. One of Hon. Koimett’s most notable contributions is her instrumental role in shaping Kenya’s economic policies, particularly in privatization and ICT development. She was pivotal in drafting the Privatization Bill, which became law in 2005, streamlining the divestiture of state-owned enterprises. Dr. Susan Koech

Dr. Susan Koech is the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya. She brings to the position over two decades of impactful leadership across the banking sector and public service, marked by resilience, innovation, and a deep commitment to transformative change. Prior to her current role, Dr. Koech served as Principal Secretary in several strategic government departments, including Wildlife, East African Community, and Regional Development. In these capacities, she led cross-border economic initiatives, championed conservation, and played a pivotal role in advancing Kenya’s position within the East African region. Notably, she spearheaded the Jumuiya Market concept—an inclusive economic model designed to empower women and youth at border communities through trade. Dr. Koech’s career began in the banking sector, where she rose through the ranks to lead high-performing teams and implement forward-looking strategies in governance, compliance, and financial management. Her leadership is anchored in strategic foresight, people development, and the ability to connect vision to execution—qualities that have enabled her to navigate complex, competitive environments and drive sustainable impact. She holds a Ph.D. in Business Management and an MBA in Strategic Management from Moi University. HON. BETTY MAINA

HON. BETTY MAINA is an accomplished Kenyan leader with an exceptional 30-year track record in organizational leadership, strategic planning, and economic development. As the former Cabinet Secretary for Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development, she brought transformative leadership to Kenya's industrial growth agenda. Her expertise spans trade policy, regional integration, private sector development, and sustainable industrialization - skills honed through diverse leadership roles across public and private sectors. A visionary in industrial and trade policy, Hon. Maina's career highlights include her 11-year tenure as CEO of Kenya Association of Manufacturers (2004-2015), where she dramatically expanded membership and increased annual revenues from Ksh24 million to Ksh400 million. She established seven regional offices to enhance service delivery and successfully implemented the association's strategic plan. Her earlier role as Chief Executive of the Institute of Economic Affairs (1997-2003) demonstrated her commitment to policy research and economic reforms. With extensive public service experience, she served as Principal Secretary in three critical ministries: Environment and Forestry, Industrialization, and East African Affairs. Her technical expertise was instrumental in shaping Kenya's industrial policies and regional integration agenda within the EAC framework. She holds a MSc in Development Administration and Planning from University College London and a degree in Land Economics from University of Nairobi, complemented by specialized training from Harvard University, World Bank, and other prestigious institutions. Beyond her official roles, Hon. Maina has made significant contributions as a consultant on local government reforms, urban development programs, and gender mainstreaming initiatives. Her presidential recognition as Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS) in 2013 attests to her national impact. Currently through her consultancy firm BECEM Solutions and as East Africa Representative for Genetics Analytics, she continues to influence economic policy and private sector development across Africa. A champion of sustainable development, Hon. Maina integrates principles of good governance, public-private dialogue, and corporate sustainability in all her endeavors. Hon. Dr. Praxedes Tororey, MBS

Hon. Dr. Praxedes Tororey, MBS, is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and has served in the Public Service for over 34 years. Hon. Tororey started her professional career in 1991 as a Magistrate in the Kenyan Judiciary and served for over 15 years rising through the ranks. She later joined a State Corporation before transitioning to Constitutional Commissions. Her most recent appointment being a Commissioner and Member of the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA), Board (2018-2024). Prior to that she was the Director Legal and Public Affairs at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), having previously served as the Corporation Secretary/Head of Legal at Kenya Forest Service Corporation. She is currently serving as a Director, Centre for Corporate Governance Alumni Board (CCG) and on other committees in professional and other Associations. Hon. Tororey holds a Masters in Women’s Law from the University of Zimbabwe and is pursuing another Masters Degree in Diplomacy and Foreign Policy in Moi University. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from the University of Nairobi. Other academic qualifications include, Diploma in Laws from Kenya School of Law; Diploma in International Environmental Law-making and Diplomacy, from the University of Joensuu; Diploma in Women’s Law from the University of Zimbabwe; Certificate in Professional Mediation; Dispute Resolution; Corporate Governance; Management and Strategic Reform of Electoral Processes; Forest Management; Legal Audits; Legislative Drafting; Jurisprudence of Equality; Training of Trainers; Child Protection; Strategic Leadership Development Program, amongst others. In recognition of Hon. Praxedes Tororey’s commitment and dedication to public service together with contributions made to the community, H.E. the President honoured and conferred her with the distinguished Award of Moran of the Burning Spear (MBS), in December, 2023. Other Awards include Doctor of Humane Letters (Honoris Causa) in August 2021, and Global Honoree in Social Justice and Human Rights in 2024. Beyond her professional work, Praxedes is deeply involved in mentorship of girls and students in primary, secondary and tertiary levels. These have included university law students on clinical programme attached to Law Courts; Student lawyers on pupillage; participated in Legal Aid Clinics and engaged criminology students via webinars. In addition, Dr. Tororey has participated in the inauguration and graduation ceremonies of young members of the Professional Criminologist Association of Kenya (PCAK) and regularly engages its members on the law and emerging security issues via webinars. Other panel discussions held have been on advocating for marginalized communities and climate justice. She has also moderated high-profile discussions on Elections, Political Parties, Constitutional Commissions, including at the 23rd Commonwealth Law Conference in Goa, panel discussion on ‘Post - COVID Freedom of Movement and Kenya’s Justice Sector Review’. While in pursuit of excellence in her professional career, Ms. Tororey found passion in supporting vulnerable children from marginalised communities and empowering them through mentorship. Thus, she has engaged in mentorship of girls in the Rift Valley through the IRIIP GAA Association and young budding Lawyers through Ogilyek Ab Kutit (OAK). Hon. Tororey is also a Founder Member and Vice Chair of ‘One More Day for Children Foundation’, whose main objective is supporting the Maasai and Samburu children in Laikipia County in need of care and protection from child marriages and harmful cultural practices. She is also actively involved in fostering and seeking foster homes for children from the marginalised Dassanach Community in Illeret, Marsabit County. She previously served as Chairperson, Nanyuki Children’s Home. Mengich is an accomplished professional with over 25 years of distinguished experience in strategic leadership, corporate governance and human resource management across Kenya, East Africa, and the broader African continent. Her illustrious career is marked by transformative roles in both the private and public sectors, where she has consistently demonstrated expertise in strategy development and execution, organizational development, talent management, leading transformation change, and corporate governance. Notably, she served as the Chairperson of Kenya’s Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC), where she played a pivotal role in shaping equitable remuneration policies for public servants. Throughout her career, Ms. Mengich has held senior leadership positions in prominent multinational and regional organizations, showcasing her versatility and strategic acumen. She served as Talent and Change Manager for Shell Oil Products Africa, where she spearheaded workforce transformation initiatives. As Regional HR Manager, she oversaw human resource operations across 11 East African countries, driving regional alignment and best practices. Her leadership extended to financial institutions, including Barclays Bank and Kenya Commercial Bank, where she served as HR Director, as well as to SmithKline Beecham-East Africa, where she contributed to organizational growth. Beyond corporate roles, she founded and led Nuevo Consulting, further cementing her reputation as a thought leader in organizational transformation and HR strategy. Ms. Mengich’s contributions extend beyond executive roles, as she has actively shaped governance and policy through board memberships in key institutions. She has served on the boards of Jamii Bora Bank, the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), and Sovereign Group, among others, offering strategic oversight and governance expertise. She is currently a council member at KCA University. Her academic credentials reflect her commitment to excellence, including a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, executive education from Cornell University, and advanced management training from Strathmore Business School and IESE Business School in Spain. Amb. Sarah Serem, is a seasoned Kenyan public servant and diplomat celebrated for her impactful contributions to governance, labor lations, and international diplomacy. Her distinguished career began at the Kenya Posts and Telecommunications Corporation, where she served as a Personnel Officer for eight years, before rising to become the Deputy Human Resource Officer at the Kenya Post Office Savings Bank (Postbank). A role that marked her early strides in public administration. In 2011, she was appointed by President Mwai Kibaki as the founding Chairperson of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC), where she spearheaded crucial reforms to rationalize public sector wages, ensuring fiscal sustainability. After her successful tenure at the SRC, she transitioned into diplomacy, serving as Kenya’s Ambassador to China, where she played a pivotal role in strengthening bilateral trade and investment ties. A strong advocate for Kenya’s economic interests, she worked tirelessly to boost agricultural exports to China and address the trade imbalance between the two nations. In January 2023, Ambassador Serem returned to her roots in financial governance when she was appointed Chairperson of the Postbank Board. Embracing this role with enthusiasm, she reaffirmed her commitment to promoting national savings, enhancing financial inclusion, and driving the bank’s strategic growth to benefit all Kenyans. Ms. Margaret Kibogy is a distinguished Kenyan professional currently serving as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Dairy Board (KDB), a position she has held with remarkable impact since May 2016. With a unique career trajectory that transitioned from banking to agriculture, she has brought innovative leadership and financial sector expertise to Kenya's dairy industry. Her visionary approach has positioned KDB as a key driver in transforming Kenya's dairy sector into a more productive, competitive, and sustainable industry. An accomplished academic, Ms. Kibogy is an alumna of the prestigious Moi Girls High School in Eldoret and holds a master’s in business administration (MBA) with a specialization in Marketing from the University of Nairobi. This strong educational foundation, combined with her diverse professional background, has equipped her with the strategic and managerial skills needed to navigate the complexities of agricultural value chains and public sector leadership. Her transition from banking to dairy farming before assuming leadership at KDB demonstrates her adaptability and commitment to Kenya's agricultural development. Ms. Judith Kerich is a highly respected public sector leader and strategic advisor with over 25 years of experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder development programs. She currently serves as Deputy Project Coordinator for a portfolio of World Bank–funded transport projects exceeding USD 1.3 billion, where she leads strategic implementation, stakeholder coordination, fiduciary oversight, and performance monitoring. These programs include transformative initiatives such as the Horn of Africa Gateway Development Project (HoAGDP), the Eastern Africa Regional Transport Trade and Facilitation Project, and the Kenya Transport Sector Support Project. Ms. Kerich’s expertise spans corporate strategy, governance, public policy formulation, C-level stakeholder engagement, and organizational development. Her professional journey includes impactful roles at the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), where she helped shape institutional strategy and operational structures, and at the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), where she led HR transformation and quality systems across all airports. She is known for her ability to bridge public accountability with institutional performance, offering high-level strategic guidance across governance structures including executive boards, steering committees, and senior leadership teams. Her work involves close collaboration with government ministries, development partners, private sector stakeholders and community organizations. Ms. Kerich has served as Chair of the Investment & Strategy and HR & Governance Committees at the Kenya Development Corporation (KDC), and as a board member of the Tourism Finance Corporation and Chairperson of Kakamega Golf Hotel, contributing to institutional reforms, strategic planning, and governance improvements. She holds an MBA and a master’s in public policy and management from Strathmore Business School, and has completed executive programs at Georgetown University, IESE Business School and New York University. She is one of only 9 Program Management Professional (PgmP) certified professionals in Kenya. Her blend of technical expertise, strategic foresight, and governance leadership continues to position her as a trusted voice in Kenya’s public sector transformation.
